MEET SOME OF REV. AND MRS. MOON'S CHILDREN
In Jin Tatiana Moon
In Jin Moon, the third daughter of Reverend and Mrs. Moon, attended primary and secondary school in Westchester County, Columbia University for an undergraduate degree in philosophy and political science and Harvard University, where she graduated with honors with a Master's Degree from Harvard Divinity School. In Jin is married to Jin Sung Pak, and the couple have five children and reside in Boston. She homeschools her children and is dedicated to being a wife and mother.
The arts are an important part of the family life. Two of their children are classical pianists who have won top international prizes and performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Two others are prize-winning landscape artists. In Jin is a composer herself and the whole family enjoys singing and playing music together.
Having successfully created with her husband Jin Sung an exemplary family, In Jin is now taking a central leadership role in the Unification Movement in the United States. She is now Chair of the Family Federation for World Peace USA and also director of the Manhattan Center, an arts and entertainment production center and venue in downtown Manhattan.
Hyun Jin Moon
Hyun Jin Moon was born in Korea in 1969 and has lived in the United States since his family moved there in 1973. He graduated from Columbia University in 1995 with honors, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master's in Religious Education from Unification Theological Seminary and an honorary doctoral degree from Sun Moon University.He twice competed in the Olympics as a member of the Korean Equestrian team in the Seoul and Barcelona Olympics. He is Co-Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation and Chairman of the Board of News World Communications, which owns The Washington Times, the second largest daily newspaper in Washington DC.
In 2008, Hyun Jin is inspiring thousands around the world as he speaks at Global Peace Festivals, large rallies organized by the Universal Peace Federation and its partners. The goal of the rallies is to create "One Family Under God", what Hyun Jin calls "the greatest dream of all" - the longheld dream of God and of his father, Rev. Moon. He advocates the creation of One Family Under God through service to others, strong families and interreligious harmony. Rallies are being held in Washington DC, Brazil, Canada, Kenya, Paraguay, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mongolia, and other countries.
He was married in 1987 to Jun Sook Kwak and lives in Westchester County, New York. The couple have nine children.
Kook Jin Justin Moon
Kook Jin Moon was the last of the Moons' children to be born in Korea, in 1970, and he came with his family to the United States in 1973. After attending primary and secondary school in Westchester, New York, he did his undergraduate studies at Vassar College and then got an MBA from Harvard University. Kook Jin is known as a business genius and organizer who is applying some the best practices of modern businesses and organizations to the Unification movement in Asia. He is the President of Saeilo Enterprises, Inc., and CEO of the Unification Foundation in Korea. He also serves as Chairman of the Young Jin Moon Charitable Foundation, which provides educational scholarships for seminary students and supports a number of non-profit enterprises. He is married to Ji Yea Park, and the couple have four children and reside in Seoul Korea. Sun Jin Moon
Sun Jin Moon, born in the United States, grew up in Westchester County, New York. She is an accomplished cellist and graduated from Harvard University with honors inpsychology. She and her husband, In Sup Pak, participated as speakers on the Universal Peace Federation tours for peace to more than a hundred countries being carried out by Reverend and Mrs. Moon, their children and grandchildren.
Hyung Jin Sean Moon
Rev. Hyung Jin Moon was born in New York and is the seventh and youngest son of Reverend and Mrs. Moon. He received his BA from Harvard University and an MA from Harvard Divinity School. Hyung Jin is the international president of the Family Federation for World Peace and has been designated by his father as the person who will carry on his religious work.
Every Sunday Rev. Hyung Jin and his wife, Yeon An Lee, hold popular religious services are in both Korean and English in Seoul, Korea, which can be seen in English on the website www.tworiversvip.com.
Studing at the Harvard Center for the Study of World Religions, Hyung Jin met the leader of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, the Venerable Bub Jang, and pursued an interest in Buddhism, which he studied and practiced in earnest. He is also highly skilled in martial arts, which he has practiced since he was young.
Hyung Jin has published three books. He shared his personal experiences as a son of the Reverend Moon in a book of reflective essays entitled, A Bald Head and a Strawberry. The Moment is a photo essay book about his father, and The House of Heavenly Harmony is a book of advice about spiritual life and practices and how to create loving relationships between husband and wife and parents and children. He and his wife, Yeon Ah Lee, live in Seoul Korea and have five children.
Yeon Jin Moon
Yeon Jin Moon was born in the United States and grew up in Westchester County, New York. Ms. Moon is a graduate of New York University in journalism and economics and recently graduated from film school in London. She participated as a speaker on the Moon family's three-generation world speaking tours for peace. Jeung Jin Moon
